Richard Norris is a musician playing and writing in many musical styles. On one hand, Richard is a song-writer writing and collaborating with artists and folk/fusion project, Split Arrow. On the other, Richard works with classical instrumentalists in an experimental context. In particular, Richard's Opposites React project combines classical ensembles with electronics.

Richard is a pianist and bass guitarist who has recently played and written for labels and companies including Luaka Bop, Channel 4, Spitalfields Music, Southbank Centre, Tate Modern and the Ambassador Theatre Group. He won the Royal Television Society’s Best Promotional Video award 2016 and his score for Part and Parcel was nominated for the Best Original Score at the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema 2016. 

Richard regularly collaborates with the Modulus Quartet and has recently finished their Arts Council Funded 12 Seconds of Light tour. During this they performed in some incredible venues (including many caves) around the U.K.

Richard has a Doctorate in Composition from Royal Holloway, University of London.
