Somewhere in the Middle is an amalgamation of folk, electronic and minimalist music performed live in collaboration with videographers and artists

  • Somewhere in the Middle will have something for everyone. Folk-songwriter trio, Alkevan, take their music into new territory; Nick Allen performs a new and exciting version of Steve Reich's Cello Counterpoint with video; and Richard Norris is joined by the other musicians to take his new electronic/classical work, Sensoria, into new avenues.

  • Performances will be accompanied by video from Diego Barazza.

  • Alkevan are Alan Harvey (vocals, Bodhran) Kevin Moffat (vocals, guitars) and Richard Norris (vocals, bass guitar, production). They are joined on this album by the amazing Matilda Harvey on violin and Anne Bowden on flute.

  • Nick Allen is a founder member of Modulus Quartet, performing original string quartet repertoire written in close collaboration with a number of international composers. Nick will be performing Steve Reich’s Cello Counterpoint, playing alongside 7 other versions of himself and specially made video.

  • Richard J Norris’ music has been performed at and by BBC, ITV, Channels 4 and 5, Young Vic, Southbank Centre, Albert Hall and he has contributed music to TV shows including The Crown and Bridgerton. Richard will be performing his new work, Sensoria, with music, video and collaborations.
